If you are wanting a great blend between the current GT and GT350 this could be the build for you! Recently some spy shots have been circulating to suggest that there may be a Mach 1 revival in the year of 2021. While this has been a rumor for the past few months leading up to the revival of the Mustang Mach-E, up until a few days ago is where the rumors and photos have really ramped up! We at LMR are keeping our fingers crossed to see this revival that has been anxiously awaited by many since the last Mustang Mach 1 model in 2004. Check out the spy shot images from MotorAuthority.com below to see what we know so far!

In this image above you can see that digits 5-7 (body style, model, engine type) for the VIN point to the Mach 1 as having a P8R code. This code stands for Ford, Mustang, Mach 1 Coupe, 2 Door Sedan. It's also interesting to note that the 5.0 engine codes are still F and 0. "F" is the standard GT code and "0" is the Bullitt engine code so it's safe to assume that the engine code for the Mach 1 will take over from the Bullitt. Also, we speculate that the Mach 1 will have an automatic transmission option as it did in 2003-04 due to the higher demand of customers not wanting to shift with a manual transmission. As you can tell, many of these new updates are just speculations on our part, but these updates we've mentioned could very well come to fruition in the coming months.

We also have a very firm opinion that this new Mustang Mach 1 will come equipped with engine features very similar to the Mustang Bullitt from the past few years. We imagine that this would be more of a premium GT package with a few additional upgrades to make it its own model. Such as an intake manifold, cold air kit, throttle body, and some other goodies. Also, many that are wondering if the Mach 1 is really making a comeback, are they going to be released with the same paint colors in past years or bring on something entirely new? As for now, we are in the dark on this just as much as everyone, but until further notice keep tabs on this article as well as our 2021 Mustang Colors article for any more news!
